Up to 15 new seconds
Minimax Hailuo 3 Max Extend "continues a clip with what happens next, up to 15 new seconds at 2K."
Make a clip longer by generating what happens next. Upload a video, describe the next moment, and AI continues the shot with matching motion, light and sound.
Five extend models. Up to 15 new seconds per run. Up to 2K. Audio on Flux 3 and PixVerse.
Pixara's AI video extender adds new footage to the end of your clip. It does not slow the video down, loop it or freeze the last frame. The model watches your clip, then generates the next few seconds so the action carries on: the runner keeps running, the camera keeps moving, the waves keep rolling.
You guide the continuation with a short prompt, so the new seconds can follow the obvious next beat or take the scene somewhere you choose. It works on AI-generated clips and on your own footage.
Open Edit Video and choose an extend model. Upload an MP4 or WebM. Limits depend on the model, from 15 MB up to 50 MB.
Write the next action, not the whole scene. Press Enhance My Idea on Minimax Hailuo 3 Max Extend to expand a rough idea.
Choose the resolution, aspect ratio (Match keeps your original) and audio, then generate and download the longer clip.
Minimax Hailuo 3 Max Extend "continues a clip with what happens next, up to 15 new seconds at 2K."
Hailuo 3 Max Extend accepts a source video from 1.6 to 60 seconds and up to 50 MB, so you can continue a full scene, not just a snippet.
On Hailuo 3 Max Extend, download the whole extended clip or only the new part, ready to drop into your own edit.
Flux 3 Extend continues "with consistent motion and sound", and Pixverse V6 Extend has Generate Audio.
Choose Match to keep the original aspect ratio, or pick 21:9, 16:9, 4:3, 1:1, 3:4 or 9:16 (plus 2:1 on Flux 3 Extend).
Kling O3 and Kling O1 Video Edit have an Extend tab with up to 4 reference images (@Image1...) and Reference Elements (@Element1...).
These are the extend options in Edit Video, checked on 19 Oct 2026. Each run starts at a 5-second default.

Formula: Next action + camera + keep the same light, style and setting
She keeps walking down the street, turns the corner and looks back over her shoulder. Same tracking shot, same evening light and outfit.
The car slows down and pulls up to the curb, the driver's door opens. Camera stays low and static. Keep the rain and neon reflections.
The camera continues its slow push-in until the coffee cup fills the frame, steam still rising. Same soft morning light.
The drone keeps rising over the forest and tilts up to reveal the mountains on the horizon. Keep the same mist and sunrise colors.
The dancer finishes the spin and lands in a low pose facing the camera. Same stage lighting, same wide framing, music continues.
A generation ended a second too soon? Continue it instead of starting again.
Stretch a short clip with new action to fit a Reel, Short or ad slot.
Add a few more seconds of a shot to cover a voiceover or fill a gap in your timeline.
Chain extensions to grow one shot into a longer, continuous scene.
Let a product reveal play out fully instead of cutting at the best moment.
The cut between your clip and the new footage is where an extension succeeds or fails. These habits keep it invisible.
The model can see your clip. Use the prompt for what happens next: "she opens the door and steps inside".
Repeat the key look in the prompt, such as "same golden-hour light, same street". A sudden change of light is the most visible seam.
If the shot is a slow push-in, ask for the push-in to continue. Switching from static to handheld mid-shot looks like a mistake.
A clip that ends mid-movement gives the model momentum to carry on. A clip that ends on a frozen pose often continues stiffly.
Choose Match so the extension keeps your original framing, unless you are deliberately reformatting.
Watch the second either side of the cut on a big screen. Small jumps in faces or hands are easiest to spot there.
One extension adds a few seconds. Repeat the process to grow a short shot into a longer scene.
Generate it in Create Video or upload your own footage.
Add the next action with Hailuo 3 Max Extend and choose Full Video so you keep one continuous file.
Upload the longer clip and describe the next beat. Check it stays within the model's input limits.
Upscale with the AI video upscaler, give a character a voice with AI lip sync, and add music or sound effects.
Upload a video, describe what happens next and get a longer clip in minutes.
